I study Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Mathematics at AUB. My interests center on theory, algorithms, quantum computation and error correction, and the mathematical foundations of computing. I've been building software since I was 11, and I am most interested in the point where understanding why something works changes what I am able to build with it.

About Me

I was always captivated by technology, physics, and mathematics. But at 11, I became fascinated by a few simple questions: how were the applications I used actually built, and how could I recreate them and customize them the way I wanted? I fell in love with the idea that I could take something that existed only in thought and give it a real, functional existence. I tried JavaScript on Codecademy for a day, then decided to give myself a harder challenge: I googled "the hardest programming language," and it showed C++, so I switched immediately.

As I had expected, learning how to code quickly became only the first step. I wanted to build real applications. That led me to Java, then Android development, briefly Python, and then web development, which later landed me an internship the summer I turned 15. After a lot of learning and experimentation across different areas, machine learning became the next subject I wanted to understand deeply. I built a roadmap for myself and followed it; a few years later, that path grew into Deafeat, which brought together software, machine learning, and hardware around a problem that was real and meaningful to me.

More recently, mathematics has taken a much larger place in what I study. I am studying Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at AUB while pursuing coursework toward a B.S. in Mathematics, and my interests lean toward theory, algorithms, quantum computation, and the mathematical foundations of computing. I still enjoy building software, but increasingly as a way to explore ideas and turn them into working, reusable, and verifiable systems.
